If you are craving a tan or a break from your daily routine for a week or two, I have the best holiday destinations for you to get that golden glow. Luckily, for me I have already crossed two out of the six dreamy destinations below. Mykonos and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay in Malta were both simply magnificent and I can’t recommend them enough. The remaining are in my ultimate travel bucket list. One day I hope that I will also cross them off my list. Till then, bon voyage!

Mykonos, Greece

Glamorous and lively, Mykonos is one of the most popular island destinations with something for everyone! Greece is famous for its clear blue sea and stunning beaches. Mykonos is the home of favorites such as Ornos beach and Agios Ioannis beach, the beach feautures in the film Shirley Valentine. Plus, you won’t be short of beach bars and nightlife choices if you want to do a little more with your evenings.

Ghajn Tuffieha, Malta

This small island in the Mediterranean Sea is home to a number of picturesque beaches, stunning coves and the clearest waters in the Mediterranean. The beach at Ghajn Tuffieha Bay is a small beach that you can only get to if you climb down a flight of a hundred stairs. But it’s worth it to find the peaceful red sand with beautiful scenery, incredible views of the surrounding cliffs.

Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria

Although Puerto Rico temperatures only reach highs of 24 to 27 degrees, it’s the perfect destination for families, with its fantastic oceans for the kids to explore whilst you are topping up your tan. Or, if you want to soak up the rays in private, try Las Palmas and La Jungla beaches during the week and you will probably have them all to yourself.

Zanzibar, Tanzania

Many people flock to Zanzibar island every year to experience their beaches. Due to the islands positions in the Indian Ocean, the waters are home to spectacular coral reefs and marine life. Scuba diving is a very popular activity in Zanzibar if you want a break from sunbathing. The private resort of Bawe Island is a must visit, with its white sand beach and turquoise waters. Simply divine!

Miami Beach, United States

Miami Beach is the most popular destination for spring break in America. It is the closest you will get to the tropical sun in the USA without going to the dreamy destination of Hawaii. As Miami’s central beach can be packed with tourists, Haulover Beach is recommended as the perfect location for someone who just wants to lie and enjoy the beach rather than explore the beachfront ships or busy bars.

Sydney, Australia

Traveling to Sydney is on almost everyone’s bucket list. So why not travel sooner rather than later and get that Australian golden tan we envy so much. You should visit one of the most famous and iconic Australian beaches, Bondi Beach. It is located just outside of Sydney’s city center, however, be warned that it is very popular with tourists. It is usually very crowded, thanks to all the bars and restaurants surrounding the beach.
